McLaughlin School of Irish Dance

The McLaughlin School of Irish Dancing School is based in the south side of Glasgow, Scotland. As the most decorated dance school in Scotland with over 100 World Championship titles, pupils develop an array of skills in an environment of excellence. The School was established in 1966 by James McLaughlin (TCRG) & Kathleen McLaughlin (ADCRG) who are assisted by their three daughters Sinead McLaughlin (ADCRG), Eileen and Kathleen. The school offers classes throughout the south side of Glasgow to boys and girls ranging in age from 4+ from beginner level through to World Championship standard. The class has a very strong supportive ethos where parents are welcome to sit in on beginner lessons to enjoy watching their child progress. The class has a hard working parents committee who organise various social and fundraising events throughout the year. It is our aim to provide every pupil with an enjoyable experience and an opportunity to learn this magnificent and unique form of dance whilst improving both fitness and confidence. New dancers are always welcome to the class. All instructors are registered with An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha, the Governing body of Irish dancing for which James is presently the Vice President for Scotland. The class is fully insured and all teachers disclosed. Website: www.irishdanceglasgow.com
