Shane Cummins Academy of Irish Dancing

Irish Dance classes in Roscrea Co. Tipperary and Munster, Ireland, for boys & girls aged 3+. Tuition by Riverdance cast member, Shane Cummins TCRG. Shane Cummins began his dancing career at the early age of 4 in his native town of Roscrea, Co.Tipperary in Ireland. Shane's love for Irish Dancing began at his first dancing class, when he was taught his very first steps by the late Doirene Browne RIP. Later in Shane's competitive career he danced for the Costello School of Irish Dancing in Limerick. During his time spent dancing for Anthony Costello A.D.C.R.G, Shane won six Munster Championship titles, finished top 10 in the North American Championships and World Championships and finished top 5 in the All Scotland Championships and All Ireland Championships. Shane was also crowned British National Champion.   Shane began his professional dancing career in 2009, touring Germany, China, Switzerland, and Austria with Gaelforce Dance. He was then delighted to be added to the cast of the world phenomenon Riverdance touring Israel, South Africa, China, Canada and America. One of the highlights of Shane's professional career is touring 82 cities of North America in just 19 weeks with Riverdance. Performing to thousands of people every night.   Shane has also had the privilege of performing for some well known names such as One Direction, Bono, Prince William and Emeli Sande and performing on TV shows such as "Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway", ITV's "The Alan Titchmarsh Show" and BBC's "The John Bishop Show". Shane has also appeared on TV shows in his home country of Ireland, such as, the very popular "Late Late Show." Another highlight of Shane's professional career was performing with Riverdance for 20,000 people at London's Trafalgar Square. Shane decided to fulfill another life long dream and take his T.C.R.G examination in June 2013.   "Passing this examination has given me the opportunity to live a dream I have had since a very young age. I am now excited as a T.C.R.G to pass my knowledge of Irish Dancing onto the younger generation."
