What shines through is each recipient’s unwavering dedication to their dancers and communities, both within and beyond the competitive dance stage. The recipients create a warm and supportive dance family, nurturing their students not just as performers but as individuals on a life-changing journey.

Denise Keane, the publisher of Irish Dancing Magazine, emphasises that these awards go beyond mere competition results. It's about celebrating teachers who are genuinely admired by those who interact with them daily.

"The time people took to write in-depth nominations illustrates the positive impact the award-winning teachers have, and this should be celebrated. Our nomination process is a way for people to reach out to the magazine to say ‘Hey, this is a GREAT teacher.’ It is very apparent how much these teachers are admired by their dancers and families.”

In recognition of their outstanding contributions, the award recipients will receive a commemorative plaque for their dance studios along with assistance in marketing their dance schools. The recipients’ reactions to receiving this award ranged from delight to surprise, all accompanied by an overwhelming sense of humility.
