Bailey-Murray Academy of Irish Dancing offers Irish Dance classes for children and competitive dancers throughout the western and southwestern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, with locations in Lemont, Geneva and Westmont.

The academy is led by Jenny Bailey-Murray, TCRG, ADCRG, and Kevin Murray, TCRG, accomplished Irish Dancers who bring extensive competitive, professional performance and teaching experience to their students.

Jenny began Irish Dancing at age five in Chicago and went on to become a Regional and National titleholder and World Championship medalist. She later performed professionally as a lead dancer in international Irish Dance productions and is a qualified teacher and adjudicator with An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha.

Kevin is a former North-West Regional Champion and three-time European Champion who also earned All-Ireland and World Championship medals during his competitive career. He went on to perform professionally in Irish Dance productions in more than 25 countries before becoming a full-time teacher.

Bailey-Murray Academy welcomes dancers beginning at age 3, with programs designed specifically for young beginners as well as older children starting Irish Dance for the first time. The academy offers a progressive training program from beginner through Prizewinner/Open and championship levels, including its Éire Elite program for dancers preparing for Oireachtas solo and team competitions and major national and international championships.

Classes focus on traditional Irish Dance technique, rhythm, musicality, light and heavy shoe, choreography, performance skills and competitive preparation while encouraging confidence, teamwork, friendships and a love of Irish Dance.

Bailey-Murray Academy is registered with An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha (CLRG) and is a member of the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Mid-America (IDTAMA) and Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America (IDTANA).
